Анотація
Проаналізовано історію створення, визначено основні вектори діяльності збройних формувань пешмерга у курдсько-іракському конфлікті другої половини ХХ ‒ початку ХХІ ст. Зроблені висновки про те, що становлення пешмерга проходило у боротьбі Іракського Курдистану за автономію та «з ворогами Курдистану». Незважаючи на ідейно-патріотичну спрямованість, на військово-політичну діяльність пешмерга впливали партикуляризм, клановість, комерціалізація війн «четвертого покоління», етноконфесійні конфлікти, зовнішній фактор, унеможливлюючи реалізацію основного завдання курдизму ‒ власного державотворення. The history of creation of the Peshmerga’s armed formations has been analyzed, the main vectors its activity in the Kurdish-Iraqi conflict in the second half of the XXth ‒ at the beginning of the XXIth century have been determined in this article. The conclusions about the Peshmerga’s formation took place in the struggle of Iraqi Kurdistan for its autonomy and «against the enemies of Kurdistan» have been made. Despite the ideological and patriotic orientation, Peshmerga’s military and political activities were influenced by particularism, clannishness, commercialization of the «fourth generation» wars, ethnic and confessional conflicts and the external factor, which made impossible to implement the main task of Kurdism ‒ its own statehood.
