dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто актуальну проблему оптимізації освітнього процесу закладів вищої освіти України засобами штучного інтелекту. Представлено законодавчу базу України щодо розвитку й імплементації штучного інтелекту в усі сфери, зокрема у сферу освіти. Схарактеризовано та узагальнено звʼязок основних методів штучного інтелекту та популярних технологій ШІ: класичний ШІ, машинне навчання (контрольоване навчання, неконтрольоване навчання, навчання з підкріпленням), штучні нейронні мережі, глибоке навчання. Визначено, що використання ШІ у вищій освіті здійснюється за трьома напрямами: інституційним, підтримки студентів, методичним. Зроблено висновок, що штучний інтелект швидко зростає в секторі освіти, чим обумовлена його здатністю трансформувати багато аспектів процесів викладання та навчання. Окреслено перспективи подальших досліджень, що полягають у вивченні етичних проблем у використанні ШІ в освіті. The article deals with the topical issue of optimizing the educational process of Ukrainian higher education institutions by means of artificial intelligence. The purpose of the article is to determine, based on the analysis of artificial intelligence methods and technologies, the main directions of their use in the educational process of Ukrainian higher education institutions. The author examines the legislative framework of Ukraine (“Concept of Artificial Intelligence Development in Ukraine”, “National Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Ukraine 2021–2030”, the program of the great transformation “Education 4.0: Ukrainian Dawn”, etc.) regarding the development and implementation of artificial intelligence in all areas, including education. The main methods of artificial intelligence and popular AI technologies are characterized and summarized: classical AI, machine learning (supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning), artificial neural networks, deep learning. The author outlines the areas of AI use in the educational process of higher education institutions, in particular, the following are highlighted: institutional (marketing, admission/enrollment, educational programs and curricula, resources and planning); student support (counseling, warning of failure, etc.); methodological (tracking progress, personalized learning, pedagogical improvement, etc.). It was concluded that artificial intelligence is growing rapidly in the education sector and is becoming a multi-billion dollar global market. This rapid growth is driven by its ability to transform many aspects of teaching and learning processes. Artificial intelligence can create immersive virtual learning environments, create “smart content”, ease language barriers, fill gaps between learning and teaching, create specialized plans for each student, and much more. It is determined that the prospects for further research are to study ethical issues in the use of AI in education.
