dc.description.abstractВ статье анализируется идейная концепция романа известного российского писателя Константина Федина «Братья» (1928) в решении актуального вопроса о роли искусства и творческой личности на переломном этапе истории ХХ столетия – в годы активного формирования тоталитарного государственного устройства и его эстетической (соцреалистической) доктрины. Автор статьи показывает, что роман «Братья» является одним из первых в СССР произведений, в котором «новая» литература начала драматическую борьбу за гуманистические идеалы и свободу творчества. Высоко оценили это произведение в свое время Стефан Цвейг и Б.Л. Пастернак. У статті аналізується ідейна концепція роману відомого російського письменника Костянтина Федіна «Брати» (1928) щодо вирішення нагального питання про роль мистецтва та творчої особистості на зламному етапі історії ХХ століття – в роки активного формування тоталітарного державного устрою та його естетичної (соцреалістичної) доктрини. Автор статті доводить, що роман «Брати» є одним із перших у СРСР творів, у якому «нова» література почала драматичну боротьбу за гуманістичні ідеали та свободу творчості. Високо поцінували цей твiр в свiй час Стефан Цвейг та Б.Л. Пастернак. In the article analyzes ideological concept of the novel by the famous Russian writer Konst.Fedin “The Brothers” (1928) in the decision of the actual question of the role of art and crea-tive personality at a crucial stage in the history of the twentieth century – during the active formation of the totalitarian state structure and its aesthetic (socialist realism) doctrine. The novel Konstantin Aleksandrovich Fedin “The Brothers” did not fit in many ways with the literary tendency clearly defined by the end of the 1920s, which was based on an obvious one-sidedness in depicting a person as a carrier of a clearly expressed social principle, as a fighter and collectivist. Conscious orientation of the author of “The Brothers” to the humanistic tradition of classical Russian and world literature came into clear contradiction with this trend, which served, it seems, the main reason for the numerous negative evaluations of the novel and its central hero, com-poser Nikita Karev, criticism of the 20s. So, one of its representatives, D. Talnikov, argued that the novel was based on “a limited historical concept of the author and his hero, typically idealistic. There is no room for revolution in this concept. ” It should, however, be emphasized that in the 1920s a dif-ferent approach to the “The Brothers” was outlined. Stefan Zweig and B.L. Pasternak highly appreci-ated this work. Describing the range of ideas and attitudes of a number of writers of the 20s, B. Pasternak attached the novel to Konst. Fedin of fundamental importance, directly relating his as-sessment to the unfavorable social atmosphere that limited and distorted creative expression of these writers. In this article, the author shows that the novel “The Brothers” is one of the first works in the USSR, in which the “new” literature began a dramatic struggle for humanistic ideals and freedom of creativity.uk_UA.UTF-8
