Анотація
У статті схарактеризовано особливості вживання невласне питальних
безособово-інфінітивних речень (модель “чого / чому / для чого / навіщо Inf?”)
як продуктивної моделі реалізації оцінної функції. Аксіологічну маркованість
досліджуваної конструкції забезпечують (а) уживання інфінітивної форми
у вторинній функції; (б) реалізація непитального суб’єктивно-модального
значення питальною конструкцією. Названу дієсловом-інфінітивом дію мовець кваліфікує як недоречну, оцінює негативно. У межах конструкції описано
підтипи за здійсненістю / нездійсненістю дії та за спрямованістю висловлювання з більш детальною диференціацією кожного з них. Estimative functions are also assigned to individual syntactic
constructions.
The article describes the peculiarities of the use of free-interrogative impersonal
sentences (the model “чого / чому / для чого / навіщо Inf?”) as a productive model
of realization of the estimation function.
The purpose of this scientific work is to characterize the peculiarities of the
use of free-interrogative impersonal sentences (the model “чого / чому / для чого /
навіщо Inf?”) as a means of expressing estimation; its tasks are: 1) to generalize the
experience of studying free-interrogative sentences in the aspect of linguoaxiology;
2) to describe the features of the use of free-interrogative impersonal sentences in the
estimation function.
The implementation of the estimation modelling mechanism is provided both
by the features of functioning of the infinitive form and by the specificity of a syntactic
construction in general.
Firstly, the use of the infinitive as a principal part of an impersonal one-member
interrogative sentence aimed at a specific addressee (compared to indicative forms
in definite-personal or two-member sentence types) eliminates the connection of this
action with the particular person, seemingly ignoring him or her, deindividualizing
the nominated action, thus providing modelling of a negative estimation. Secondly,
the implementation of the secondary function of an interrogative sentence is provided
by a violation of the conditions for successful implementation of its primary function,
because the statement does not involve prompting the addressee to answer – give information. The speaker qualifies the action named by the verb in the infinitive form as inappropriate,
estimates it negatively. Within the framework of the construction subtypes
according to the feasibility / impracticability of an action and the focus of the utterance
are described with more detailed differentiation of each of them.
