dc.description.abstractУ публікації розглянуто особистість українського літературознавця Михайла Федосійовича Гетманця. Коло його наукових інтересів неймовірно широке. Професор М. Ф. Гетманець вирізнявся серед колег не тільки величчю знань, винятковою пам’яттю, глибоким розумом та аналітизмом, а й двома головними напрямами своєї наукової діяльності: дослідженням педагогічної концепції і літературної спадщини А. С. Макаренка та шедевра давньоукраїнської літератури «Слово о полку Ігоревім», якому вчений присвятив 5 монографій і понад 30 статей. Плідна наукова діяльність ученого нерозривно пов’язана з педагогічною: за роки професійної викладацької роботи підготовлені тисячі фахівців-словесників, які з вдячністю і глибокою пошаною згадують свого улюбленого Вчителя з великої літери. Наголошено, що педагогічним кредо М. Ф. Гетманця було зробити процес навчання цікавим та радісним. Він був ворогом примусу й насильства, надмірної суворості і дратливості у відносинах з молоддю. The publication examines the personality of the Ukrainian literary critic Mykhailo Fedosiyovych Hetmanets. His scientific interests are incredibly wide. Professor M. F. Hetmanets distinguished himself among his colleagues not only by the greatness of his knowledge, exceptional memory, deep mind and analyticity, but also by two main directions of his scientific activity: the study of the pedagogical concept and literary heritage of A. S. Makarenko and the masterpiece of ancient Ukrainian literature «On the Campaign of Igor», to which the scientist dedicated 5 monographs and more than 30 articles. The fruitful scientific activity of the scientist is inextricably linked with the pedagogical activity: over the years of professional teaching work, thousands of lexicographers have been trained, who remember their beloved Teacher with a capital letter with gratitude and deep respect. It was emphasized that the pedagogical creed of M. F. Hetmanets was to make the learning process interesting and joyful. He was an enemy of coercion and violence, excessive severity and irritability in relations with young people. literary studies, scientific achievements, pedagogical heritage, M. F.
