Роль учених рад Харківського, Київського та Новоросійського університетів другої половини ХІХ століття у реалізації громадсько-просвітницьких ініціатив

Анотація
Порушено проблему активізації закладами вищої
освіти та їх структурними підрозділами національно-культурницької й громадсько-просвітницької
функцій на сучасному етапі. Доведено доцільність
неупередженого вивчення й переосмислення в контексті сучасних викликів досвіду діяльності Харків-
ського, Київського та Новоросійського університетів
другої половини XIX ст. за цим напрямом. На основі
аналізу протоколів засідань учених рад названих
університетів виявлено перелік справ громадськопросвітницького характеру, що підлягали розгляду
на їх засіданнях, та з’ясовано позицію загальноуніверситетських колегіальних органів щодо реалізації
громадсько-просвітницьких ініціатив. The article addresses the problem of activation by
higher educational institutions and their structural
units of national-cultural and public-educational functions
at the present stage. The expediency of unbiased
study and rethinking in the context of the modern
challenges of the experience of the Kharkiv, Kyiv and
Novorossiysk universities of the second half of the XIX
century in this direction has been proved. On the basis
of the analysis of the protocols of meetings of the scientists
of the councils of the named universities, a list of
issues of public-educational character was found which
were to be considered at their meetings: discussion of
bills aimed at reorganizing primary and secondary education
institutions, as well as amendments and additions
to them; control of students' achievements; preparation
and certification of teaching staff; the establishment of
higher female education in the region; popularization of
knowledge among the local community by holding celebratory
university assemblies, proclaiming speeches,
opening public courses and lectures, holding scientific
congresses, congresses, forums, exhibitions; development
of scientific societies; honoring outstanding compatriots
for their literary and scientific achievements;
assistance to the work of public educational institutions
and institutions (Sunday schools, public libraries,
reading rooms, archives, etc.); carrying out researches
of the local region in the scientific-practical plan. The
position of general universities collegiate bodies on the
implementation of the mentioned public-educational
initiatives has been clarified.
