    СТАНОВИЩЕ ЖІНКИ В ХЕТСЬКІЙ СІМ’Ї

    У публікації проаналізовано становище жінки в хетській сім'ї. Для хетської сім'ї характерний патріархальний устрій, але відношення до жінки деякою мірою відрізнялося від інших країн давнього Сходу. В хетів існувало два різновиди шлюбу, в якому не враховувалася думка нареченої та шлюб по волі самої дівчини. Зазначено, що положення жінки в хетській родині не однозначне: деякою мірою вона мала права і водночас не мала їх, в додачу положення погіршувала наявність левірату. The publication analyzes the position of a woman in a Hittite family. The Hittite family is characterized by a patriarchal system, but the attitude towards women was somewhat different from other countries of the ancient East. Among the Hittites there were two types of marriage, in which did not take into account the opinion of the bride and marriage by the will of the girl herself. It is noted that the position of a woman in a Hittite family is ambiguous: to some extent she had rights and at the same time she did not have them, in addition to the situation, the presence of the levirate worsened the situation.
